CONTRACT COMPLIANCE MANAGER

in Planning, Design & Construction

Responsibilities include:  working with the University Architect and Director, Planning, Design & Construction, the Associate Director, the Contracts Administrator, project managers, consultants, and contractors to prepare and oversee the issuance of contracts for architectural, engineering, surveying, and construction services to renovate existing facilities and build new facilities, using an in-depth understanding of local, state, and federal laws, bidding procedures, and University policies and processes to help ensure that contract language is in compliance with all applicable requirements, working closely with the University project managers and Financial Services personnel to monitor capital construction project budgets through standard accounting and/or bookkeeping procedures, serving as the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Liaison Officer for the University and establishing and maintaining such records and files as are necessary to maintain the DBE program for the University, exercising initiative and independent judgment in managing daily office and departmental activities, projects, and exercises discretion in the dissemination of information to staff, senior administrators, and various public entities.

Responsibilities:  Bringing in major gifts (gifts of $25,000 or more) by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospects for major gifts on behalf of an assigned area(s); working closely with University administration and appropriate faculty of the college to cultivate potential donors; exercising discretion and independent judgment in determining which donors and prospects in their prospect pool (consisting of alumni, friends, parents, businesses, foundations, and organizations) to approach based on prospect research, determining how to approach each potential donor, whether the potential donor would be more receptive to a formal written proposal or a verbal proposal, discussing options for potential outright and/or estate gifts, ways of giving, negotiating the policies and procedures for administration of their gifts, determining when travel to meet with donors is appropriate, exercising budgetary authority over their travel and development budget, etc. For required qualifications and application procedures: https://jobs.missouristate.edu or call (417) 836-4683.  Pay Grade: 44. PROJECT MANAGER-ARCHITECT

in the Planning, Design and Construction office.  Responsibilities:  providing management of assigned projects within the University system, including coordinating all activity on these projects from programming and concept through occupant move-in, with the primary focus on the application of architectural knowledge as it applies to the design of commercial and institutional buildings; these projects may be accomplished in-house or through a consultant employed by the University to assist with the project; assisting with the selection of consultants engaged by the University, coordinating the work of the consulting firms throughout the project, and providing in-house technical and design support; assisting in the development of the campus master plan.
