Terry & Judie Pittman Owners of Boomland Square Gifts & Home Decor

“When my wife and I first got into this, neither one of us had any retail experience. We had primarily finance as a background. It was  getting our feet wet and just trying to minimize any mistakes, and just learning as we went along. We’ve been very steady and constant, putting in the hard work and just seeing where that takes us. We’ve been driven to be successful.”

Terry Pittman, and his wife Judie, are the owners and operators of Boomland Square, in Ozark, Missouri. The home decor and gift shop has been serving the community for decades.

“We started over 30 years ago, and it’s a continuation of several Boomlands over in Southeast Missouri that are family owned. My wife’s family, mom and dad, started it back then in 1958. We decided to move back home and to expand the Boomland name in this area, so we decided to open up a gift and retail store down here in Ozark. Our other two locations, over in Benton and Charleston, sell fireworks year round.”

“Judie and our employees, they do all the decorating. They go to the shows, and they incorporate everything from the shows in display format, to give people ideas on how to decorate. They’re very, very dedicated and very good at what they do. We have pictures of them on our Facebook page.”

“That gratification of seeing happy customers is what keeps us going. We’ve got a good relationship with our clients that we’ve developed over the years. Our main objective is to continue on that process, providing quality service and affordable options for people in the Ozark area. When people come back, that means you must be doing something right. That’s always a good feeling.”

Boomland Square is located at 1996 E Elm Street, in Ozark, Missouri. Their hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You can find them on Facebook, and Instagram @boomlandsquare.
