Boyd Elementary school has a new principal


Springfield, MO—Springfield Public Schools has selected Dr. Angela Holloway Payne to serve as the next principal of Boyd Elementary School, effective July 1, 2019.
Dr. Holloway Payne’s education career includes 12 years as an elementary classroom teacher and 10 years as an elementary principal for Shelby County Schools in Memphis, Tenn. During her time with Shelby County Schools, she was recognized as Administrator of the Year by the Tennessee Education Association. She has serves as the superintendent of Stafford USD 349 in Stafford, Kan. Dr. Holloway Payne’s husband, Dr. Richard Todd Payne, is a professor at Missouri State University.
