Boys & Girls Club Scores Big with Shonté Clay-Fulgham as Their New Sports Director

The Boys & Girls Club of Springfield is excited to announce the promotion of Shonté Clay-Fulgham to Director of Sports!

Fulgham’s dedication to the Club’s mission is evident. “There’s simply no greater purpose,” she says. “The impact the Boys & Girls Club has on these kids shapes their lives, and ultimately, the world—they’re our future leaders. To play a small role in that is a true blessing and honor.”

Fulgham brings a strong academic background to the table, boasting a bachelor’s degree in communications/Spanish and a master’s degree in sports management and administration. Her impressive experience includes sales management, marketing, corporate partnerships, and athletic coaching.

But her qualifications extend beyond the traditional. Fulgham holds certifications in Equity, Diversity & Inclusion facilitation, unconscious bias training, and LGBTQIA+ Safezone creation, showcasing her commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all Club members.

“Shonté is an incredible asset to our team,” says a spokesperson for the Boys & Girls Club of Springfield. “Her passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to empowering youth through sports and recreation are truly inspiring.”

With Fulgham’s leadership at the helm, the future of sports programming at the Boys & Girls Club of Springfield looks bright.
