Donald Trump Doxxed Tom Cotton Over Daylight Saving Time Because Apparently This Is Where We Are Now

In the latest episode of The Real White Nationalist Housewives of D.C., President Donald Trump was upset with Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton, so he doxxed him in a social media post, and Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana was annoyed.

During an appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, Kennedy said he considers the president a “friend” but added that he “can go from zero to asshole in about three seconds.”

“He exists loudly. He can be tempestuous,” Kennedy said of Trump. “I don’t think he should have given out Tom’s cell phone number. I don’t think that’s going to help convince Tom.”

Trump was annoyed that Cotton opposed a bill that would’ve changed America as we know it. It was a bill that had the potential to weaken the world and bring kings to their knees, and as soon as I find my notes I will tell you what that bill was called…wait, I have them now….the bill known as the Sunshine Protection Act that would’ve made daylight saving time permanent.

Apparently that was enough to put the senator’s personal cellphone number in a Truth Social post. Because the president is petty. He’s the pettiest. He’s Petty LaBelle. He’s Petty Wap. He’s Sir Petty-a-Lot.

“To the Great People of Arkansas, please let your Senator know it would be a GREAT Bipartisan WIN for the United States Senate,” Trump wrote. “Call Tom on his cellphone,” he added, followed by a phone number, Politico reports.

Kennedy then told host Kristen Welker: “And I have your cellphone number, but I promise not to give it out.”

Kennedy did not seem to think the issue was a big deal.

“Every now and then, there are disputes in Congress that have existential significance for the future of Western civilization,” Kennedy told Welker. “Daylight saving time is not one of them. Tom Cotton feels strongly about it. Tom is a rock star senator. If you get between him and what’s best for Arkansas, he’ll devour you like a light snack.”

And that is apparently where we are now: two Republican senators arguing over whether the sun should stay out a little longer while the president of the United States is publishing one of their cellphone numbers on social media. It is hard to imagine a better example of how the world’s most powerful political party can turn a debate over clocks into a full-blown episode of Housewives.
