The cemetery board is having maintenance and cleaning done on veterans’ headstones in the cemetery. Wommack Monument will be doing the work. Unfortunately, the board cannot be responsible for cleaning and maintaining every family’s monument. There is a set price on having stones reset or aligned. Inspecting and leveling the stone by adding concrete mix is cost effective and would last for several years. This method should take less than an hour. A completely new foundation includes removing stone and foundation, a new foundation would be excavated and repoured for a new foundation and stone to be reinstalled. This method will have a permanent written warranty for the lifetime of the stone.
Another service is to professionally clean monuments that have become stained with moss, algae, lichens, organic stains etc.
Approximate prices will be assessed per request and a bid given at that time. All work must be paid for in advance before work will begin. Approximate pricing is $317.00 an hour. It takes approximately 2 hours to reset a double stone, and 1 hour for a single stone for a permanent new foundation. To just realign or level the stone will take approximately less than an hour.
If you are interested the board will need to be notified by July 15, 2024, so your family’s monument can be reviewed and included in the project.
