Funded by Latino Americans: 500 Years of History, a public programming initiative produced by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the American Library Association (ALA), is part of an NEH initiative, The Common Good: The Humanities in the Public Square. Latino Americans are the country’s largest minority group, with more than 50 million people. Learn how Latinos have helped shape the United States at a series of free public events, including a screening of an episode from the award-winning documentary “Latino Americans.” The Library is one of five state organizations working with the Missouri Humanities Council to showcase the documentary.
